City Girl goes West

Well it’s no secret the western trend has taken the style world by storm again, yes western style boots are trending this season. What might be a secret is that even after living in Texas for years this big city girl, had never owned a true pair of cowboy boots until now! FREEBIRD STORES has made it to Texas and and I may have a bit of a (healthy) obsession with their boots particularly with their woodland boot (pictured)

But what I hear the most from my fellow city girls is “I love them but have no idea how to wear them!” So here’s my take! I like to balance these boots out; meaning I really don’t know how to dress full western, and like to stay true to my style so, I love to pair them with an edgier look, particularly with mini dresses or oversized blazers. Although love them in any way. Because now a days cowboy boots can be worn with everything, anything and anywhere.

These are the Grey suede woodland boot, and as a tip these are sooo soft and easy to put on, I am wearing my true (boot) size which is an 8, I’m usually a 7.5 but always go up half a size in boots. They come in whole sizes so if you’re like me and wear half sizes just go up to the next whole size. My red boots are the classic leather (same size) but might be tougher to put on the first time, they will give with time but I agree the first time can be a bit of a struggle.
