Sweater Weather : Chicago
Hi loves!
Well we're back home with Bhaaloo and I can't help it but I miss Chicago's amazing weather this past weekend! Here the weather and temperatures will be crazy for a couple more months, and not really sweater ot boot weather, so i'm glad I got to wear some of my early fall favorties this weekend, like this WildFox sweater (which is 50% off so hurry! entire outfit linked at the bottom, I'm wearing a size medium but I could have gotten the small but it wasnt available) and of course my OTK boots! among other looks. Our trip to Chicago was not completely planned, Arturo (my husband) had to go to the windy city for business and neither of us had ever been so he asked if I wanted to meet up with him there for a long weekend. And well who am I to say no lol ... it was a hectic week, if you follow me on Instagram @TheToastyLife you may have seen I was in Mexico for Liverpool's fashion fest which was amazing! but still pretty busy so ending the week in Chicago, having fun, and let's face it pretty much eating my way through the city #IRegretNothing was the perfect way to unwind. And now time to get back into the routine but here's a list of the places we visited thank you all for all the instagram recommendations we didnt get to all of them but definitely saving those for next time:
- Deep Dish Pizza at Lou Malnatis
- Architecture River Tour
- Chicago 360 (tilt) avoid if your afraid of heights or just don't do the tilt (you can watch my video of Tilt here @TheToastyLife
- The Purple Pig (brunch)
- 3 Arts Cafe at Restauration Hardware: if you go during the weekend show up before 11 even though they open at 11 there's a line already!
- The Field Museum: Boys will be boys and Arturo loves dinosaurs and he wanted to see the T-Rex what we didn't know was the have The Jurassic World exhibit experience and it's pretty cool especially if your traveling with kids or a Man-Child
- Cindy's: rooftop bar and restaurant, food is pretty good just kkep in mind all their plates are meant to be shared
- Chicago Athletic Association: This was our hotel for the trip and it was great! the only thing I have to mention it has 3 restaurants plus a shake shack so it's far from calm and relaxing plus it hosts quite a few events and parties.

ya estamos de regreso y aunque estoy feliz de ya estar en casa, extraño el clima de Chicago! aqui seguimos un poco calientitos y va seguir asi por un par de meses mas - el otoño en Texas es lo mas raro y loco! no se decide y tenemos dias helados y dias a 35 grados! pero bueno por lo menos pude desquitar algunas de mi piezas favoritras de otoño, como este sueter que esta al 50% de descuento y claro mis botas! La verdad de nuestra mini escapada fue que Arturo tuvo que ir para unas cosas del trabajo y me pregunto que si lo queria alcanzar alla para el fin ya que ninguno conociamos la ciudad, y pues ya me conocen! tengo la maleta hecha desde antes de que me digan jaja y la verdad es que tambien habia sido una semana muy ocupada para mi. Yo me fui a Mexico esa semana para poder atender al #FashionFest de Liverpool (chequen el hashtag para ver mas del evento) que estuvo increible con Megan Fox y Ricky Martin! y pues Chicago fue lo ideal para cerrar la semana con broche de oro! disfrutar a Arturo, comer rico y pasear por una ciudad nueva ... - 3 Arts Cafe at Restauration Hardware: Me encanto este lugar pero si van en fin de semana llegan antes de que abra (abre a las 11)
- The Field Museum: La verdad solo fuimos porque arturo queria ver al dinosaurio, pues se saco la loteria jaja cuanto llegamos vimos que tenian la experiencia y exhibicion de Jurassic World! y confieso que esta increible! especialmente si van con niños.
- Cindy's: Restaurante y bar hasat arriba del hotel Chicago Athletic Hotel.
- Chicago Athletic Hotel: Este fue nuestro hotel y el lugar en si esta divino y la ubicacion no podria ser mejor! pero es un hotel con varios restaurantes y eventos entonces no es precisamente tranquilo.
