Matchy Matchy: Top 4 Summer Trends

Since I haven't really updated you all on anything other than fashion and trends, and I know a while back I promised to share a bit more into our lives, even though (believe me ) not much has happened lol. We are currently preparing ourselves for our first beach trip, I say first because honestly with this Texas heat we'll need to get away a bit more in order to survive. So that being said let's talk summer trends! These are my top 4, and my current favorite.
1.- Matching Sets: This summer (ok spring because technically summer hasn't even started! Can someone tell that to Texas!) Matching sets have been one of the top trends and one of my favorites! theres is so much to do when getting a set. First off you don't always have to wear the pieces together, the fun thing about these sets is that you can build 3 different outfits from one. 1- wear the set together, 2- Wear the bottoms with a simple t shirt or top 3.- Wear the top with jeans or a fun bottom (I did! wore this sweater with my white denim overall dress) So give those matching sets you keep seeing everywhere a chance! I'm obsessed with this rainbow set, it not only makes me happy but it is also so comfortable to wear, I'm wearing a size small in both. And I know a few have said they love it but don't think they can pull it off, I say we always have to step outside our comfort zone and go for it! I feel the set together is a bit more going out or for an event, but I can totally wear the pants with sandals or sneakers, with a white tucked or cropped tshirt for a casual sunday or movie night.
2.- Maxi Dresses: ok Maxis are a summer staple and we can't ignore them! they're comfortable, dressy and can also be worn in different ways, casual with sandals, over a bathing suit at the beach, or dress it up with cute shoes and accessories for a night out or special event.
3.- Girly Details: Don't be afraid to wear those ruffles or crochet tops! Girly details not only give a cute and unique look to pieces but for example ruffles give a lot of movement to summer pieces.
4.- Polka dots: Ok another favorite! i'm really bad about wearing prints, but i've made an effort this year and polka dots is one print I can wear on repeat every day! I actually found myself saying NO to a polka dot dress this week because I realized I had so many dotted items in my closet now. The funny thing about polka dots is a lot of women shy away from it because the relate it with little girls ... Umm NO! Polka dots are for everyone and any age! Actually my grandmother wore polka dots throughout her life and always looked stunning (my brother is now actually making fun of me every time I wear polka dots, saying Like grandmother like daughter and looking like Carmella, She was Spanish and we used to call her this for fun ... Her name was Carmen but her brothers would ll her Carmelita) anyway go get your spots on!

Se que hace un tiempo prometi compartirles mas de nuestra vida personal, y voy a intentar de ahora en adelante incluir un poco mas de lo que esta pasando en nuestra vida en mis posts. Pero por el momento no ha pasado mucho jaja. Estamos esperando a la familia para pasar unos dias con ellos, y tambien preparando nos para nuestro viaje a la playa, la verdad no urge con este calor! Pero bueno de mientras les quiero compartir mis 4 tendencias favoritas para primavera/verano.
1.- Sets combinados: Estamos de acuerdo que de chicos nos las viviamos en sets combinados y que por un rato no los queriamos ni ver, pero la verdad es que son una maravilla y yo personalmente los amo! No solo porque me gusta como se ven pero porque de un set combinado puedes armar 3 looks diferentes y sacarle mucho provecho, por ejemplo este, se puede usar como conjunto, o usar los pantalones con tennis y un camiseta blanca para un look casual, o el top con jeans o como yo lo use con mi vestido overol de mezclilla blanco.
2.- Vestidos largos: de los mejores looks que podemos usar en el verano y para el calor! No solo favorecen cualquier figura, si no que tambien se pueden usar de varias manera, casual con sandalias, en la playa sobre traje de baño, o con tacones o zapatos lindo y accesorios para salir.
3.- Detalles femeninos: Los detalles asi son super populares para el verano no solo le dan un toque unico y alegre si no que tambien lo olanes dan movimiento a nuestros looks que los hace mas ligeros.
4.- Lunares: Mis favoritos! pero admito que me he dado cuenta que muchas mujeres se alejan de los lunares y no porque no les gustan si no que no se animan a usarlos, ya sea porque lo relacionan con niñas chicas o porque sienten que es un estampado que no pueden lucir bien. Pero la verdad es todo lo opuesto los lunares son un estampado que funciona como un neutro, y se puede usar por todas y a cualquier edad. les cuento que mi abuela los uso toda su vida y siempre se veia guapisima! (ahora mi hermano me molesta cada vez que me ve con algo de lunares me dice que soy digna nieta de Carmella (mi abuela era española y asi le deciamos <3 ) Entonces intenetelo! empiecen con una siluetta sencilla, y ay que le agarren el amor a estas motitas entonces, se pueden volver loca como yo jaja.
