Miami

Food:

Milos: On South Beach. Hottest Greek spot in Miami! It is amazing! Need to know. Portions are huge and are meant for sharing, and you do need a reservation, it is so popular right now that trying to get a table as a walk in may be tough, unless you want to eat at the bar.

Nobu: (Japanese/Sushi $$) is a classic Miami thing to do, especially since it’s at south Miami Beach (Eden Roc) must try the Spicy Tuna Squares!!!

Wynwood Kitchen & Bar: located at Wynwood Art District, its all Latin inspired tapas, great for a snack while walking around this area (tiny burgers and Shrimp tacos were my favorite)

Wynwood Diner: Unfortunately we didn’t make it this time, the wait was an hour and half  (Valentine’s day on Sunday) but this is more of comfort food, (Mac & Cheese … yes please!!) you can reserve on Open Table though. We just didn’t plan ahead.

Villagio: Italian at The Shops at Merrick Park (Coral Gables) Again portions are huge but for some reason the plates are personal. Their pastas for me are the stars of their menu.

Bar:

La Victoria: At Miami Design District, fun Latin food and music. Night club/Bar.

Fun & Shopping:

Miami International Boat Show: Every year on this date (Mid February) Even if you’re not an expert on boating walking around and checking out all the gadgets AND all the new Yachts. For example this year the ultimate luxury yacht called “11.11” – 200 foot. Worth $73 million was available to tour (which we didn’t get to see) but if you’re in Miami on these dates its worth taking a sneak peak.

The Shops at Merrick Park: In Coral Gables, really laid back outdoor mall with good shopping, pretty location and architecture and really good restaurants.

Bal Harbor Shops: High-end boutiques and designer mall, also outdoors and worth having lunch there even if you’re not doing any shopping.

Wynwood Art District: The Wynwood walls have become extremely popular and its hard not to! All walls are a work of art and completely different! the whole area is so colorful and vibrant. It was the perfect Sunday, walked around saw the galleries, walls and had lunch (loved it but it does have a hipster vibe, just in case you’re not a fan)

Miami Design District: Hottest Miami area and place to visit, very close to Wynwood, but completely changes vibe, here everything is all so posh. Many stores, boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops.
