For some time in our lives, our mothers (grandmothers, cool woman figure in our lives) usually have far better clothing and the contents of their closets, go beyond one can own while growing up. I strongly believe, it is a right of passage to go through your mom's closet and wear her good stuff. No matter how upset she may get (just make sure you always take care of it) 

In my case I (indefinitely) borrowed the Missoni cardigan/Robe from my mom a few years back, don't worry she gave it to me. My mom found this knit while shopping one day and wanted to wear it more as a wrap dress, but to her surprise it ran extremely small (this is actually a Large) and lucky for me she never returned it, she simply put it in her closet, as "i'll take it back later" lucky for me that day never came. 

So one day as I was looking for something to borrow I found it. When I asked her about it she said "Oh my gosh I completely forgot I had that, keep it it's too small" (all of this in spanish though) And THANK YOU MOM! my first Missoni piece of clothing ever!! 

If you're ever looking for something cool and unique and don't feel like going shopping, go into your mom's closet they usually have very cool things like their 90s Moschino waist belt - yes i've been eyeing that one for a while. Or your grandmother's sunglasses from the 60s-70s.

Jeans: It took me a while to commit to these, the style is different but in the end that's why I got them, I wanted something different, a new twist on a classic denim. These are from Madewell and I love them! they're high waisted and like in general Madewell Jeans run true to size except their stretch ones those I recommend sizing down a size. i'm 5'4 and wearing size 26.

Bodysuit: My love for these continue, the perfect top for high-waisted jeans.

Por un buen tiempo, nuestras Mamas (abuelas, tias, etc) siempre tienen cosas mas interesantes y bonitas en sus closets, que nosotros. Hasta que crecemos y nos hacemos de nuestros propios tesoritos del mundo de la moda. Y creo que es algo que todas (o todos) debemos de hacer en algun punto de nuestras vidas. El entrar a su closet y robarte (bueno tomar prestado) esos zapatos increibles o tu bolsa favorita que usa cuando sale con sus amigas, nada mas asegurando que cuidemos todo lo que usamos o nunca mas nos vuelven a prestar nada. 

En este caso le tome prestado (indefinidamente) este sueter de Missoni a mi mama, hace unos años, bueno me lo regalo. Mi mama lo compro hace mucho, pensando en usarlo como vestido, pero ya saben como pueden ser las marcas europeas, es talla grande pero parece extra chico. Entonces lo guardo con sus cosas de "Luego lo regreso a la tienda" para mi suerte eso nunca paso y años despues mientras veia que me encontraba en su closet, salio este. Y ya saben mi mama "Ay mira se me olvido que tenia ese! quedatelo esta muy chiquito" y GRACIAS mama!! mi primera prenda Missoni! y el que fuera vintage y de mi mama me hizo quererlo mas. 

Si algun dia tienen ganas de algo diferente y unico, lo mejor que pueden hacer es entrar al closet de su mama y "volarte" ese cinturon Moschino a la cintura de los 90s (se nota que ya me lo tengo en la mira jaja) o preguntale a tu abuela si tiene sus lentes de los 60s-70s son lo mejor!

Jeans: Me tarde bastante en decidirme por estos jeans, eran demasiado diferente a lo que estoy acostumbrada pero al final por eso mismo los compre, hay romper con la rutina de vez en cuando.

Bodysuit: Y mi amor por los bodies sigue! son la prenda perfecta para jeans a la cintura o como fondo en esta temporada de frio.
