Mini Getaway: Punta Mita

We took a last minute mini getaway trip to the beach. I wasn't expecting to do a blog post about it since we just needed some time off, BUUUT a few of you asked me a lot about my looks during this weekend, so I thought to put them all together here. I got tons of complements and questions about this black dress in particular. I got it late summer from Free People, so unfortunately it's sold out now, but I truly loved the full skirt sheer look, it reminds me of a black swan ballet costume. My sandals from this same look how ever have been re-stocked! mine are actually on sale but two new colors were added. We usually spend new year's at a beach somewhere and this year for one thing or another we just couldn't make it. So when we realized this past weekend was a long one we jumped on a lane I headed down to one of our favorite destinations Punta Mita, Mexico. Some of the many reasons why we love this place are:

1.- You have four destinations in one, you fly into Puerto Vallarta, which is about 30min from Punta Mita, but from here you can go to Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta, Punta Mita, and Sayulita (the colorful surf town in my pics)

2.- You can really unplug, unlike other beach destinations which are big cities, here you can truly find a peaceful spot.

3.- Food! I mean this is probably amazing anywhere in Mexico, but the Mexican coast has some of the best seafood in the world! yes I said the world (in my opinion lol)

4.- Amazing resorts: Punta Mita, Nuevo Vallarta and Puerto Vallarta have a great selection of resorts, Sayulita however has more boutique and petite luxury hotels.

5.- Whale watching! If you love whales and nature this is the place! whales are everywhere during December and January.

I could go on and on but take my word it's worth it and SAFE contrary to what you may hear on the news.

Now back to reality and the cold

Bueno pues nos escapamos de ultimo minuto a la playa, la verdad no estaba planeado ni nada pero cuando nos dimos cuenta que era puente y nos urgia un descansito (apenas es enero jaja) la verdad es que todos los años pasamos año nuevo en la playa y pues esta vex por cosas de trabajo no se pudo pero bueno se nos dio esta escapadita a uno de mis destinos tropicales favoritos; Punta Mita, Nayarit. Por lo mismo que fue de ultimo minuto no tenia planeado hacer un post pero muchos me preguntaron de mis looks en especial mi vestido negro y del pueblo el que visitamos; Sayulita, es un vestido estilo tul que me compro el verano pasado entonces por mas que lo busque para compartirles el link ya esta agotado, pero le encontre algunas cositas muy bonitas que segun yo son el mismo estilo. Otro de mi looks favoritos este fin fue el vestido rallado de una marca mexicana nueva que se llama Onbir! Diseño y produccion 100% mexicana y hechos a mano pero con telas de super calidad! se las recomiendo mucho! En cuanto a trajes de baño ultimamente me encantan los que tienen algun detalle original, tipo los pompones del negro o los olanes del azul, me recuerdad a los trajes de baño que usaba de chiquita! ya saben los super femeninos con olanes o detallitos, pero bueno obvio en version adulta jaja.

Tambien algunos me preguntaron de nuestro destino y pues es uno de nuestras playas favoritas, aqui les comparto algunas razones:

1.- Tienes 4 destinos en uno, aunque nostros nos quedamos en Punta Mita, el aeropuerto mas cercano es Puerto Vallarta el cual tiene acceso a: Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta, Punta Mita y Sayulita, Y varios pueblitos super lindos de camino tipo Bucerias o La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.

2.- Te puedes desconectar, aunque en Punta mita tienes muchas actividades es muy virgen y de verdad te puedes desconectar de la rutina.

3.- La comida!!

4.- Muy buenos hoteles!

5.- Ballenas! casi garantia ver muchas ballenas en Diciembre y enero.

Pero bueno ahora de regreso a la realidad y al frio!
