Happy Birthday to me!

So since it’s my birthday and all I’ve decided to add to this week’s post, 10 facts about me, just for fun.

1.- I was born in New Jersey, lived in Europe as kid but grew up mostly in Mexico City

2.- I have been a beach bum since I was 4, we would go to the beach every single weekend and vacation.

3.- I hate avocados! Sorry but never liked those green guys not even because I’m from Mexico

4.- I don’t have a specific favorite food … I can eat pretty much anything and love it … except avocados.

5.- I am a pretty good tennis player (;

6.- Currently live in San Antonio.

7.- Although I am a morning person and wake up early I like to roam around the house in my pj’s, so does that mean I am not a morning person? So, I do wake up pretty early …

8.- I am very active (hyper) I was put in tons of activities after school, ballet, soccer, gymnastics, dance, until I started playing tennis and stuck with it.

9.- I am actually an unlicensed helicopter pilot: ok so I took courses and learned how to fly, but I am missing flight hours to complete the training plus I haven’t flown in years so I would have to start all the flight ours again … so I can but I can’t fly …

10.- I am very close with my family kinda like the Kardashians (but Mexican) that everyone’s in each other’s business and my parents’ house is like the club house and where we all show up unannounced.

Bonus fact!

Since we get this question a lot; Our dog Bhaaloo (Baloo) is a Newfoundland and so was Moro, Bhaaloo is 7.5 months old, he is heavy, furry, a sock thief, and just a sweetheart.

In Spanish, we have a saying “Febrero loco, y Marzo otro poco” it refers to weather and it basically says – crazy February and March a bit too – Or something like that. The weather in Mexico (and other countries) in February is just crazy it’s cold, it rains, it gets warmer then cold again, but it’s all supposed to get nice and settled by March which isn’t usually the case. Hence March a little bit crazy too, and this year it’s no different.

I have no idea how to dress right now!

You know I’m a fan of tunics and mini dresses and you may be getting tired of hearing this but they’re honestly the best!! This super romantic mini dress was a bit too light for mid-February days so I paired it with jeans and booties and Voila!! Just perfect, but wait a few weeks and you’ll see me wearing it as an actual dress. The only thing I have to say about these types of tunics/dresses is that they are very “wide” from the bottom, what I mean by this, is that you will always have to wear something underneath other than panties/underwear. I always go with a pair of denim jeans or if you’re brave enough maybe some short style spanx, if you see my twirling pic below you’ll understand. It’s very easy to have a Marylyn moment, but I guess at the same time this is what makes them some comfortable and easy to wear with jeans. And to the women and girls reading this, Happy Women's day!! we are all unique and amazing!

¡Feliz Cumpleaños a Mí!

Como es mi cumpleaños y la verdad no comparto tanto de mi vida personal, quise agregar 10 cosas sobre me, solo por diversión.

1.- Nací en New Jersey, viví en Europa de chiquita, pero crecí en México.

2.- Soy amante de la playa desde que tengo 4 años, desde entonces pasábamos todas nuestras vacaciones y fines de semana en la playa y en el mar.

3.- Odio los aguacates! Perdón, pero nunca he podido con ellos ni porque crecí en México y es como parte de ser mexicana, pero nada más no.

4.- No tengo una comida favorita, la verdad es que puedo comer de todo, excepto aguacates (jajaja)

5.- Soy bastante buena jugando Tenis (; Y ahí conocí a mi esposo

6.- Actualmente vivimos en San Antonio Texas, pero paso la mitad de mi tiempo en México

7.- ¿Me considero una persona mañanera, me despierto temprano, pero me encanta quedarme y pasearme en pijama en mi casa … entonces no si en realidad soy mañanera?

8.- Soy demasiado activa, y desde chica estuve en mil actividades, hasta que empecé con el tenis

9.- Lo más raro de mi es que soy piloto de helicópteros, aunque no tengo licencia ni vuelo. Hace unos años tomé un curso para pilotos y aprendí a volar, no practico y por eso mismo no tengo licencia, necesitas mantener horas de vuelo. Helicópteros son más difíciles que los aviones jajá

10.- Somos una familia súper unida, tipo los Kardashians (pero mexicanos y sin tanto escándalo) pero en el sentido de que todos tenemos que ver con los demás y que casa de mis papas es como la casa club y todos llegamos sin avisar y cuando queremos.

Y pilón porque me preguntan esto mucho:

Nuestro perro Bhaaloo (balu) es raza Terranova al igual que Moro. Bhaaloo tiene 7.5 meses y está en la edad tremenda, pero divino y un amor!

Ya saben como dice el dicho “Febrero loco y Marzo otro poco” pues este año no es la excepción! Para los que no conocen el dicho, se refiere al clima y como es de lo más loco en febrero porque un día hace frio, otro día llueve, y al siguiente hace calor, y pues que marzo también empieza igual. Lo que hace la decisión de que ponerme todos los días súper complicado porque la verdad no sabes si te va dar frio o calor o si te vas a mojar.

¡Esto no es secreto y la mayoría ya lo saben, que soy fan de los mini vestidos o blusones! Pero es que la verdad son lo más practico y cómodo para todo el año, por ejemplo, estas fotos las tomamos a finales de febrero y aunque en teoría esto es un vestido, decidí usarlo con jeans porque estaba un poco frio. Pero nada más espérense unas semanas y entonces si lo voy a usar como vestido. El punto es que son súper versátiles, al ser sueltos se pueden usar con pantalones o sin.

Mi única recomendación con este tipo de vestido es siempre usar algo abajo, a mí me encanta con unos shorts de mezclilla, pero puedes usar los que tú quieras, o unos spanx. La parte de abajo es muy “ancha” lo cual la hace que vuele un poquito. Lo pueden ver en mi foto.
