Little White Dress
Hello again loves!
So this week is a crazy one! We will be traveling very soon and I thought this week was going to be so easy breezy with me just having time to organize myself, pack and relax before heading out. But oh no lol (don’t get me wrong I love being this busy because I love what I do) So I will be doing another segment with Great Day SA about swimwear and getting ready for summer, before that we’re picking all the looks we’re going to be featuring. Also one of my best friends from high school is getting married this weekend so I scheduled a trip to the salon, I think it’s time to go a bit blonder for summer (aaaah excited!) and I also have to pack … which I hate!! But I can’t complain we are beyond excited about this trip and can’t wait to share where we’re going.
Ok so moving on and talking about summer dresses. This white little number I got for our trip to L.A, and I believe its my first midi dress in years! I’m a little nervous about midi dresses because my legs aren’t that long and I feel they just make me look even shorter (may not be true, but it’s one of those crazy things we think about ourselves) This dress I loved though because it is a button up, I wore it slightly open from both the bottom and the top. I ended up loving it so much because it can be worn both ways! You would think it’s a more conservative cut but with all the different ways you can style it, it completely transforms. You can also wear it with heels. I went for ballerina flats, because for one they are everywhere!!! Save or splurge it’s the shoe to have! And two we were going to be walking all day, this was the same day we visited LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) By the way LACMA is a must it’s just such a fun place to spend the day.
It’s that time of spring - you know late spring that it’s starting to get hot and we must brace ourselves for summer – Which means time to pull out the summer goods or even updating some of them. ¡Hola todos!!
¡Pues les cuento que esta semana va estar de locos! Nos vamos de viaje muy pronto y había pensando que esta semana seria de lo más tranquila, con tiempo para organizarme y empacar y cositas. Pero, así como con todo cuando menos te lo esperas se te juntan las cosas. Para empezar, voy hacer otro segmento de televisión con Great Day SA (uno de los shows mañaneros de San Antonio. Y el fin de semana se casa una de mis mejores amigas, entonces ya saben toda locura al máximo para estar listas. ¡Pero no me puedo quejar y estamos muy emocionados por el viaje y ya les contare a donde nos vamos!
Pero Bueno cambio de tema; ¡este vestido! Ya estamos entrando en la etapa que la primavera se siente más como verano y nos tenemos que empezar a preparar para el calor. En Texas el clima es súper extremo, en el invierno las fuentes se congelan y hasta llega a nevar (no nieve tipo Nueva York) y luego el verano prácticamente te coces vivo en la calle. Entonces aquí de verdad que nuestro vestuario da un giro de 360. Creo que también por eso me emociono tanto cuando llega el momento que puedo usar las cosas de verano (aunque al ratito ya no aguante el calor) este vestido lo compre para nuestro viaje a Los Ángeles, es un corte que normalmente no uso porque siento que me veo más chaparra, pero este me encanto! Le abrí algunos botones para que se viera un poco más relajado, pero me gusta que se puede usar de las dos maneras. Y aunque se ve increíble con tacones, decidí usar unos flats estilo zapatillas, por dos motivos; ¡uno, los zapatos estilo zapatillas de ballet es el must have de ahorita! Y dos porque fue el día que fuimos al museo de arte de los ángeles (LACMA) y quería algo cómodo para caminar.
