Chunky Love

Tobin Center

One of the top trends this fall/winter are the chunky or over sized sweaters! well it's not like it's new trend but its one we wait for all year (at least I do). They're everything but fitted and most have no shape whatsoever, but that the beauty of them paired with skinny jeans, heels, flats or with at skirt they make a cute outfit. AAAAAnd if you find one that's long enough you can even wear them as a dress. (paired with thigh high boots!!!) and of course most importantly: Comfort!!! they're a symbol of nice warm, cozy, comfy holidays to come! without showing defeat like when we stroll around the house with our pjs or sweats tucked into UGG boots and an a huge sweatshirt over it (Guilty!) but leaving the house like that or allowing yourself to be seen like that is unacceptable!

Instead pull one of these oversized sweaters out, favorite pair of skinnies and some nice flats (sneakers) and DONE! You'll be just as comfy but presentable and chic (and when we're back home in our little cave then we can put back the sweats and uggs (beacuse lets face it, nothing compares to watching tv or doing some work from home in our pjs)

This sweater FYI is from HM but is currently on sale (linked below) and the jeans also from HM our my first pair ever from the label. I have always been so stubborn to try new jeans because I struggle to find ones that fit me the way I like (ehhmm brands did you know some of us are under 5'9). But I'm glad I finally did go out of my comfort zone, LOVE them and they're the body shaping jeans so ... lets just say everything is nice and tight.

Details: I know we've all heard it a thousand times! nothing beats a classic shoe ... especially a nude pair, although this was a rare winter day when stilettos could be worn. I also love how the chunky style looks with a pair of booties, high heel or flat.

Now the Bra/top thing I have to talk about, I had seen this trend all over instagram and magazines and for some reason I could never find these elusive little garments. but with this sweaters kneckline I knew I just needed it to pull off the look (if its not your style, put it over a tank or traditional bralette, love the ones from GAP linked below) now back to this one. So I ended up finding it at Urban Outfitters and only beacuse the mannequin was wearing it on the display.
